Father Mark asks:

Who’s Leading the Parish Anyway?

The correct answer: Jesus!

I feel incredibly blessed and privileged to be the parish priest of this amazing parish and I’m also immensely grateful that I’m not alone in leadership. There are lots of wonderful, hard-working people, paid – see staff list above – and volunteers, with various different responsibilities.

Currently, I’m joined by Deacon Gerard Dailly, Mike Elks and Moira Redmond on the Senior Leadership Team. We meet weekly for several hours to keep the parish moving forward in the right direction with team-based decisions. We also provide support for our staff and are developing a structure to support our ministry leaders.

It’s also important to note that we have a pastoral council, the Evangelisation Strategy Group, who meet 4-6 times a year to provide a broader and more strategic perspective when it comes to making plans for the future. This group is chaired by Mike Gretton and other members currently are:

Deacon Gerard Dailly

Deacon Martin McElroy

Mike Elks

Moira Redmond

Wojtek Rakowicz

Beccy Maeso

Richard Eastham

Marina Humphrey

Matthew Hill

Angela Osborne (Secretary)
